Background
Saxbi has a simple mission: to provide an intuitive, easy, and elegant window into Hyperion Essbase data on an iPad. Furthermore, Saxbi doesn’t treat Essbase as just some generic OLAP database. Saxbi has been designed and written with Essbase explicitly in mind.
Saxbi provides a dynamic window into Hyperion data. Selections can be changed and new reports can be built on the fly. Sure, you could email some PDFs around, but what about when you want to update the point of view or see other data? Web interfaces feel clunky and like the responsiveness of a native application. This is where Saxbi steps in — an easy to use, easy to update, and easy to administer system.
Saxbi is extremely easy to deploy. The Saxbi App is available for free on the Apple App Store. All that is needed is a Saxbi Server installed in your environment to serve as a bridge between your iPad users and Essbase databases.
